About
I am a painter whose practice explores identity, femininity, and the environments that shape how we move through the world. Working primarily with the figure, I create spaces where beauty and tension coexist—where what appears serene at first glance reveals a quieter undercurrent of constraint. I am interested in the thresholds between freedom and captivity, performance and sincerity, and the subtle negotiations that occur in between.
I consider how bodies take up space—how they soften, recede, or assert themselves in response to expectation. These gestures become metaphors for belonging, visibility, and the desire for authenticity.
Drawing from layered cultural inheritances and lived experience, I approach painting as a place to hold ambiguity. Rather than offering resolution, my work lingers in moments of tension, inviting viewers to reflect on the fragile balance between how we are seen and how we understand ourselves.
